Hybrid Cream Wax - From £14.99
"We do like a liquid wax at PDM – our Glaze Megatest was perhaps our favourite one yet and so whenever we are sent one, it seems to spend very little time in the cupboard awaiting testing. The HD Car Care product is described as a hybrid, so a combination of organic and synthetic ‘wax’ blended to make something easy to use, durable enough to last a season, yet still provide the warm gloss of a conventional paste wax. It’s not cheap, though you can get it by the litre for £25 if you have a fleet to maintain. We found it improved gloss quite dramatically and when we pitched it against a number of other more ‘advanced’ spray sealants, it outlasted the lot of them - you can teach an old dog new tricks!"
Panel Wipe - From £9.99
"Panel wipes are essential when machine polishing and particularly prior to applying a ceramic coating. There are various offerings on the market ranging from simply diluted IPA up to pretty advanced solvents. The HD Car Care option is IPA based but adds various other active ingredients, including wetting agents, to increase both contamination removal, and perhaps just as importantly, increase lubricity. The latter property is particularly important for the final, pre-LSP wipe down when the last thing you want to do is introduce marring to your perfect paintwork. Popular with both professionals and enthusiasts, HD Car Care offer their Panel Wipe in 500ml, 1 litre, and 5 litres, all for rather less than mainstream branded competitors."
